It was a day of no special intent,
it was a day of no special notice,
all about it was an air of the non-chalant;

I could not say that I had a special purpose,
nor could I truly say that I paid attention
to the world around me’s very existence;

Though it would seem that the world was again
a home of madness and an undeniable instability,
there surely was a time for anything to begin.

The sublime was purely inattainable, so we would see
and so we accepted for the day, for that one time
when even I was wiling to be everything but free;

And of the boundaries that constricted me
I could not very well speak,
As I slowly lost contact with life itself,
it was an escape I seeked;

what words could hold for me,
I could have never known,
until I experienced them first hand
showing me the way home.
